We have built a strong reputation for installing and maintaining quality products, providing customer satisfaction and strong value for money. Marcold undertakes installation and maintenance work nationwide, in applications that include hospitals, food preparation facilities, medical centres, restaurants, hotels, shops, schools and farms.

Strong Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Business Growth

Marcold has grown with the expansion of its initial business and also via the acquisition of other refrigeration and air conditioning specialist businesses. These include Froscold, Coolfitt and Noblet Refrigeration.

In addition to expanding the business, Marcold has developed very strong positions in the niches of medical refrigeration and air conditioning and also agricultural refrigeration.

24/7 Customer Service

The Marcold customer service team provides customers with the high quality and personal support they require and is co-ordinated via a central call centre, operating 24 hours /day, 365 days per year. All calls are handled through our service management system enabling us to monitor the status of service calls and provide customers with real time progress reports and historical data.

Marcold vehicles are equipped with specialist refrigeration tools, test equipment, spare parts and refrigerant recovery systems to ensure timely fault diagnosis and repair. This facility enables us to achieve a high percentage of first time fixes for customers.

Service Level Agreements

PD10HMarcold aims to meet the needs of our customer base by maintaining our promised Service Level Agreements, with a service technician onsite for all calls within 4 hours, 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.

Our Service Level Agreements are created in consultation with each customer to best suit their specific business priorities. A register of assets covered by each Service Level Agreement is maintained on our service management system and performance monitoring data is used to provide essential preventative maintenance information.

Marcold Service Technicians

Marcold service technicians are qualified to NVQ Level 2 and City and Guilds standard and have completed the City and Guilds 2079 training and hold the qualification covering ozone depleting substances and F-Gas including refrigerant handling and recovery. Marcold is also registered with the UK Government Environment Agency for Refrigerant Recovery for Disposal, and Hazardous Waste.

Marcold hold an F-Gas regulation qualification certificate for stationary equipment, issued in accordance with the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations 2009 No. 261. The REFCOM certificate was issued on behalf of Refcom Certification Ltd, appointed by the Secretary for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Marcold has demonstrated that it employs appropriately qualified personnel in a sufficient number to cover the expected volume of activities in the installation, maintenance or servicing of stationary refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump equipment containing or designed to contain certain fluorinated greenhouse gases. Fluorinated gases have a high global warming effect if released into the atmosphere. The principal objective of the EC Regulation 842/2006 on certain fluorinated greenhouse gases is to contain, prevent and thereby reduce emissions of F gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol.
